The Swiss Society for Biomedical Engineering (SSBE) was founded in 1970 and has since developed into an important player at Swiss universities and companies. The society has set itself the goal of creating a comprehensive network that encompasses the areas of education, research, manufacturing and politics in the field of biomedical engineering.
